This is my most recent oil painting created at my local pond. I set up my french easel and chair right close to the water's edge and just under some tree foliage for shade. I prefer to sit and take in the sights and sounds for a while before I even put brush to canvas. I love the way the light changes over the day and there is no end to the scenery here to paint from dragon flies to turtles, this pond has got it all. This painting was completed over a two day session of about four hours spent on each day.
