This is a detailed pencil study that I completed after my first doing several small rough drawings. I always complete a pencil study like this one before I begin the actual oil painting, it helps me become more familiar with my subject matter. At this pencil stage I try to solve any issues that may creep into my final work such as composition, perspective and a few others. This is also where I have some fun creating my vision.
