This painting hangs in the collection of the Aviation museum at Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. I created this piece after reading about a rescue. I gathered all the details and reference that I could on the particular helicopter and ship. After completing the painting I entered it in the show at the Dartmouth museum and it was selected as the overall favourite and so the museum made an offer to purchase it for their permanent collection.
