This oil painting depicts the La Have outfitters company, that's what it was known as back then. It is now known as the "La Have Bakery" a favourite spot of tourists and locals for meals and wonderful treats. You can even take a coffee to the dock at the back of the building and sit and enjoy the scenery.
I have chosen to shown it when it served the shipping community back in the 1900s. Ships would come up the LaHave river from the ocean and dock and load lumber to be taken to many far off destinations. The lumber was stacked along the shore on both sides of the road. This painting was completed over a three month period.
A print can be offered on canvas or paper if you choose one over purchasing my original painting.
